UNCTAD

Reform Tracker

Project overview

In 2024, we led the redesign of UNCTAD’s Reform Tracker, a complex platform for managing and monitoring trade and development reforms across member states. To support its multiple user types and data-heavy workflows, we applied a modern, interface-first approach – refining layouts, interaction patterns and visual hierarchy to create a more intuitive, consistent experience across devices. Alongside this, we built a scalable digital design system, complete with a component library and UI style guide, providing a strong visual foundation for future development.

Scope of work

UX, UI, visual identity

Since its launch, we have observed a significant increase in user engagement and a notable decrease in the need for our e-learning course on how to use the tool. This is particularly impressive given that our primary audience includes users from developing and least developed countries, many of whom face digital literacy challenges. The tool’s intuitive design has empowered these users to navigate it effectively without prior training.
