Davos Baukultur Alliance

Building an identity

Project overview

Launched in 2023, the Davos Baukultur Alliance promotes well-designed places with an emphasis on cultural context and human-centered design. The alliance unites the diverse stakeholders involved in building and shaping our environments around a shared set of principles to improve the quality and culture of our living places.

Promoting high-quality baukultur – which means ‘building culture’ – is the alliance’s key objective and as such we wanted the brand to stand as a highly-crafted mark of quality wherever it lives. Building off Swiss design principles through clean typography and strong, gridded compositions, the alliance’s identity plays off the concept of building blocks with a dynamic, square motif. The logomark leans on the idea of craftsmanship by revealing the geometric construction of individual letterforms to form a clean, typographic mark.

We’ve supported the alliance since its inception, from establishing the brand identity, producing brand films and crafting bespoke publications for their annual events to collate and celebrate key examples of innovative practice across the sector.
